What is a Lab Wax-up?
A lab wax up is very simple. It is a model made from our local laboratory near Jeffersonville Indiana made of wax teeth! We use this tool to aid the patient in seeing the length, width and color of the teeth before we ever begin treatment. The best part is there is no commitment to have treatment performed! If you do not like the lab wax-up we can cancel any treatment or make the necessary modifications.
Why do I need a Lab Wax-up?
A lab wax-up is not required for our cosmetic work at Limestone Dentistry. It simply shows patients what the work will look like in stone and wax. If you and Dr. Thornton do not agree on the width or length of the teeth we can simply have the dental laboratory change their design. If you are on the fence about Veneers, Crowns or closing gaps, a lab wax-up ensures you are happy with the aesthetics without any commitment of treatment.
What Cosmetic Procedures qualify for this?
We recommend a lab wax-up for any cosmetic dentistry such as crowns, veneers or composite fillings on the front teeth. We highly recommend the wax-up when multiple teeth are having crowns, veneers or composite placed to ensure the patients vision comes true.
